Bennet

BennetA family tradition since 1956, Bennett Surfboards has been in the surfboard business longer than any other Australian manufacturer. Surf Life Saving introduced Racing Malibu’s to Australian Titles in paddle board races and iron man competitions in 1962 and with longboards, was incorporated into Bennett’s surfboard production. Bennett’s has always maintained its strong roots in the Surf Life Saving environment. And for the last 40 years, has supplied many paddle board and rescue boards to overseas and local clubs. The Bennett name is highly valued amongst the Surf Life Saving fraternity and many Australian and World Titles have been won on Bennett boards.

Board Dimensions

Length: 7′ 5″

Width: 20

Thickness: 3″ 1/4I acquired this via EBay Snipe.  Solid balsa Aussie Bennett.  I love Aussie Boards.  But the problem of shipping is always the issue to over come.  Thanks to my dear friend, Tom Weggener in Queens.   IT cost approx. $500 to ship via air cargo to LAX.  This board is kind of Plain, yet cool tail block and pulled in tail makes it a interesting piece.  Thick and meaty and woody.  I have an attraction to 70’s wood.  Not a whole lot of them out there.   I have others to share stand by. (o) 8.5/10
